Walstrom Marine Acquires Algonac Harbour Club
July 21 – Harbor Springs, MI – Walstrom Marine has acquired Algonac Harbour Club (AHC), a family-owned full-service marina located on the St. Clair River between Lake Huron and Lake St. Clair.
AHC was founded in 1985 by Peter Beauregard, Sr, who retained ownership until this acquisition. Features of AHC include deep-water wells as well as being home to the original Chris Craft factory, established in the early 1900s.
Beauregard, Sr. will serve as a consultant to ensure a smooth transition and continuity, while the AHC will now be led by Tom Ervin, President of Walstrom Marine, with AHC General Manager Greg Macuga continuing to run day-to-day operations. Pete Beauregard, Jr. will also retain an ownership position in the AHC. AHC employees will continue to serve their loyal customers with the exceptional service, hospitality, and friendliness they have offered for nearly 40 years. The Algonac Harbour Club will continue to operate under its Algonac Harbour Club brand name.

The acquisition follows the investment in Walstrom Marine in 2021 by an investor group led by Continuum Ventures, the family office of Doug and Maria DeVos. The investor group also included the Pete Beauregard family, the Jim Mestdagh family, as well as the Ward Walstrom Family. This same investor group will now own Algonac Harbour Club. Both the Walstrom Marine and Harbour Club investments further Continuum’s efforts to build the leading premium boat dealer and marina operator in the Great Lakes region, starting with Michigan.
Walstrom Marine, founded in 1946, offers a full-service boating experience in Northern Michigan with locations in Harbor Springs, Traverse City, Bay Harbor, Charlevoix, and Cheboygan and proudly represents some of the finest boat brands – Sea Ray, Tiara Yachts, Chris Craft, Nauticstar, Crest, Lund, and Pursuit Boats. The acquisition of Algonac Harbour Club intentionally expands into Southeast Michigan, representing Continuum Ventures’ continued investment and interest in the market.
