Maria DeVos is a philanthropic leader with a love for her city, a strong belief in people, and a passion for supporting community transformation through business and philanthropy.

Maria De Vos Continuum Ventures

Maria co-founded Continuum with her husband, Doug DeVos, to invest in businesses, community changemakers, and civic organizations to build thriving communities and make a long-lasting impact. In addition, she serves in leadership roles for other DeVos family-owned entities, including RDV Corporation where she chairs the philanthropy committee.

Guided by their Christian faith, Maria and Doug established the Doug & Maria DeVos Foundation in 1992 to empower youth and families – helping others to obtain the resources and tools needed to achieve their full potential. Maria is an advocate for children's health, safety, education, and development. Her community work and ongoing philanthropic support aim to strengthen opportunities for all by helping build vibrant neighborhoods that connect people with schools, churches, job training, and local services.

Maria has a heart for children and is a reading volunteer with the Center for Sound Literacy in Grand Rapids. She also is actively involved in her church, Bible study, and serves organizations on their boards of directors, including the Corewell Health Foundation - West Michigan and Amplify GR. She is a former member of the Parents’ Athletic Council at Wake Forest University.

During her downtime, Maria enjoys playing tennis and downhill skiing. She also has an adventurous side and can be found hiking and scuba diving when traveling.

Maria is a graduate of Grand Valley State University. She and Doug reside in West Michigan and have eight children: Dalton and Kelly DeVos, Micaela and Jordan Richtsmeier, Monreau and Peter Stewart, and Olivia and Grant Griffieon.
